The Romanian Philatelic Federation and the Muzeul Recordurilor Româneşti® are organizing the National Philatelic Exhibition with International Participation EFIRO 2019 that celebrates “Bucharest, 560 years after the first documentary attestation” and “145 years since the founding of the UPU”. The exhibition is under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Society.
During the exhibition the “40th Symposium of Romanian Philately and Postal History” of the ‘Romania’ International Study Group from Germany and an International Philatelic Fair will be held. A new philatelic issue dedicated to the three events will be launched and four approved special postmarks are available for those interested. The exhibition will take place at the Muzeul Recordurilor Româneşti®, Parfumului 25-27 Street, Bucharest, Romania.
In the exhibition area of over 700 square meters, 400 frames with 16 A4 size sheets will be displayed. Philatelic exhibits from the Balkan area will participate in 11 competitive classes. The Special guest is the National Philatelic Museum with a display of 15 sheets of essays, proofs and stamps from the King Carol I 1908-1914 Definitive issues (“Gravate” and “Tipografiate”). During the event there will be a mobile Post Office where anyone can use the exhibition’s special postmarks.
