ICCA (International Correspondance of Corkscrew Addicts) is an international elite club of corkscrew collectors. It was established in London on October 1st 1974. Due to the exclusiveness of the club, the ICCA membership was limited to a total of 50 members. There is a waiting list for the collectors wishing to join the club, which are admitted only when a member retires or passes away, but also by criteria related to the size of the collection, their seniority as collectors, and the research made in the field of corkscrews.
During August 25-29 2024, the ICCA AGM took place (Annual General Meeting). On this occasion, the club celebrated 50 years of existence, and the meeting happened in London, the same city where the club was born in 1974. One of the participating collectors is the architect Ion Chirescu, the owner of the largest collection of corkscrews in the world, which is hosted by the Museum of Romanian Records®.
With great enthusiasm, we announce that next year, the Museum of Romanian Records® will host the Annual General Meeting of the ICCA club, as well as the other important clubs of corkscrew collectors in the world.
